Sleeveless Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Anyone have recent beta on approach and route conditions? Heard about large cornices on route (about month or more ago) as I'm sure they are gone by now. Rock free of snow on NE Ridge? Thanks E Quote
Mike_Kit Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 We climbed the N.E. ridge this past friday, the approach was made easy, as there is snow still from Heather pass, all the way in to Wing lake, not having to walk through all those boulder fields was nice. I used crampons to get up on the ridge, as we had made an early start and it was abit icey. No snow at all on the ridge, but it is pretty loose rock until you get up aways.Really is a fun climb though. When heading down the S. side, make sure you go down the most westerly gully, then slowly traverse to your left into the next gully, following that one down.Have a good climb.! M.K. Quote
