I haven't done any major slogs in them yet, just a few days of ice and alpine climbing, for which I found them to be great. The major reasons for buying them were that they fit me well, and I was able to get them for about half of the regular retail price when a distributor here in Vancouver decided to drop Scarpa and cleared out their inventory.
