barjor Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 I have been dragging around with a pair of huge Atlas snowshoes for the last couple of years. Lately I been starting to think about a pair of MSR Denali snow shoes but all there models look pretty much the same to me except the new Lightning. I do mostly volcano slogging and I am a fat fuck with a heavy pack in the winter. At this point I am thinking about getting their base model Denali Classic. Is there any compelling reason why I should go with a more sophisticated model? Is that Televator gizmo good? MSR Denali Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 the televator is pretty good at releiving calf strain, I would recommend getting it. Beyond that the other denali shoes are only subtly different. The lightnings are really nice and they feel more solid than denalis. Denalis will take the add on tails which is kind of a bonus. Quote
