PackOnMyBack
Just spoke to a friend who came down from camp at the 6000 ft. level on May 15. He reported 20-24 in. new snow at that level over the last 2 days. Winds on Monday night were 20-30, moving large amounts of new snow. Avi danger considered to be high. Trail to 5000 ft was in poor condition, with lots of postholing and moats beginning to open. The road is open to within a 1/2 mile of the trailhead. Peter_Baer
Yeah, I hope no one is camped high on the volcanoes tonight... hurricane force gusts predicted above 4000 feet.
