goatboy Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Hello, Thinking about going out to Idaho to see new country. Hope to climb at City of Rocks and possibly Finger of Fate as well. Does anyone have any favorite routes (5.6-5.10) they'd recommend? What should I expect, given the snowpack this year and the fact that it's late May? Any first hand info or predictions? Thanks in advance for any info. - GB Quote
Thinker Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 expect crowds on the weekends if you're climbing within 15 minutes walk of the parking lots. Prolly no more snow. Lost Arrow, Theater of Shaddows, RainDance, Rye Crisp, Wheat Thin...too many to remember or list. Get a guidebook and have fun. Need a partner? I'm in Salt Lake and it's a quick drive up there for me. Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Columbia crack is really fun and aesthetic. I remember some other really fun stuff at the breadloaves. Quote
TheOtter Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 You otter climb Bloody Fingers and Carol's Crack in the Breadloaves area. Also Tribal Boundaries (or something like that). Quote

Thinker Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Yes! Tribal Boundaries, and the nearby Reservations. Don't forget Swiss Cheese and Scream Chesse, two more fun routes. Quote
