Changling Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 I'll be heading into the North Cascades later this week and was wondering if there is anywhere I can go to easily access a glacier in order practice glacier travel, preferably not too far from a road since time is short for us. I have no experience on a glacier, altough my partner has some experience from previous guided climbs, and we feel it is best we practice cravess rescue and route finding a bit before heading off higher up. slothrop Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Either the Nisqually Glacier on Mt Rainier or the Coleman on Mt Baker are easily accessed and should have some crevasses for you to practice falling into. Quote
