chalkball Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Anyone been up there in the last week or so? Is the trail clear or is there a ton of snow still to Ingalls Pass? Quote
kenp Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 taken from the Wenatchee National Forest web site: N F Teanaway Road #9737 – Drivable to just beyond the Teanaway Guard Station. This leaves 6 miles of snow bound road before reaching Esmeralda and Ingalls Lake trailhead. Also, there is a landslide ½ mile before that trailhead blocking this roadway. I don't know the trail condition but would like too! Quote

PeterC Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I climbed that 5.4 route on N. Ingalls Peak on Sat. You can drive to maybe 1/4 mi from the trailhead, where there's a washout. A big 4x4 would get you to the trailhead. The first 1/2 mi or so is snow-free, as is the traversing section just past where the Ingalls lake trail leaves the Long Pass trail. Other than that we were able to ski continuously to the base of the climb. The climb itself had a bit of snow on it, but I'm sure that's gone now. We had meant to do the 5.7 ridge traverse (in Selected Climbs II) but it looked like there's a lot of snow on that route still. Hope that helps. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 well, that sounds a lot better. thanks for the conditions update! hope you enjoyed your climb last weekend. :-) Quote
