Putting Horns/Fangs onto CM Pulsars

Howdy, I just bought my first pair of tools this season, an old pair of bent Pulsars for 100$. I was wondering if anyone knew if you could horns or fangs onto the pommels for hand support, even though these axes are so old?

that would make about as much sense as putting a Gore Tex layer in between two sheets of neoprene.
