hohm Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I am interested in checking out some of the new climbs on the Black Wall..... easy to mid 5.10...I can lead, or whatever... Erie is often dry when other parts of the West Slope are drenched, and Sunday looks to be the best weather day. Quote

I'll post again Sunday morning if it might clear up. Quote
jst Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Overcast right now but not raining. Got absolutely soaked yesterday. Quote
hohm Posted September 12, 2004 Author Posted September 12, 2004 Thanks for the weather report, JST. We are going to be optimists and head over there anyway (we are already in Laconner). Hey, if it rains we will just practice our aid skills! Quote
jst Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 good thing you didn't listen to me ! About an hour after I posted it started to clear. I went out there this evening myself and poked around Shady Hollow area. The rock at Erie seems to dry quickly. That, partially, makes up for all the ticks. --jst Quote
hohm Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 Yup, we almost got sunburned today at Snag Buttress. Mid 60s, dry rock, no crowds, and not a tick in sight. We even met a couple of guys who bailed from Liberty Bell because it was pouring there this morning... Quote
