Well Done

The Russians have an old saying about their neighbors, the Finns: "You can fry a Finn in butter, but he's still a Finn." There may be something to this, if Leo Pusa is any indication. Pusa, 56, is still a Finn after spending nearly 12 minutes in a sauna Sunday where the temperature was a blistering 230 degrees Fahrenheit. Pusa, a three-time former champion in this bizarre endurance contest, reclaimed the title from another Finn. In fact, on the men's side, only Finns have won this competition, now in its sixth year. Natalya Tryfanava, from Belarus, won the women's title, sweating it out for just over eight minutes.
