Marysville Youth Climbing Wall Clean Up Day 8/7/04

I'm organizing a community clean up of the childrens climbing wall at the Marysville Youth Peace Park on 67th and Grove, near the Cedarcrest Golf Course, from 8:30-3:00.

 

The climbing wall is need of repair; the holds are greasy and need retightening, and the wall is riddled with grafiti on the backside.

 

There's several community sponsors that are helping out too. Redbull will be there, as will members of Everett Mountain Rescue, and Ogawa Mountain Adventures. Many businesses have donated gifts or supplies to the even as well. Safeway, Papa Murphys, Sports Etc., Cascade Crags, and others.

 

We’re having a big BBQ when it’s over for those who help out! We’ve taken care of everything, just come ready to help. Might want to bring gloves for yourself.

 

There's a fun bouldering comp after we finish!

Directions:

 

From I-5, take exit 200 (88th St Exit).

 

Go East on 88th. (That would be a right turn if your driving Northbound on I-5, and Left if coming southbound on I-5.)

 

Stay on this road, driving past a cemetery(the road turns into Cemetery Rd)

 

Turn Right on 67th St NE.

 

Just past the Cedar Crest Golf Course You’ll see the Peace Park on the Right (Northwest corner of intersection)

 

Turn Right on Grove St, and look for parking.
