Sheesh! Boy sees bear, bear ignores boy, boy panics and falls down dead.

The bear is reported to be feeling a little woozy also.

Sounds like the boy may have had some sort of undiagnosed cardiac abnormality, perhaps an arrhythmia. Unfortunately, death is a common way these things are discovered.
