markinore Posted July 9, 2004 Share Posted July 9, 2004 The new Iraq government has introduced legislation allowing martial law, curfews, a ban on demonstrations, the restriction of movement, tapping phones, opening mail, and freezing bank accounts without any sort of judicial progress. Well, Bush never found any weapons of mass destruction and he never proved Iraq had anything to do with 9/11, but at least he realized his dream of bringing democracy to Iraq--at least, you know, the right kind of democracy.
