We were up at WA Pass two weekends ago and were planning to ski Silver Star via the Silver Star creek approach. That is, until we got to the trailhead and there was no snow any where around. As we drove east past Silver Star we noticed very little snow on the north/east aspect of the mountain around the Burgundy Col area so I can’t say we were surprised to see no snow at the SSC trailhead (3500 feet). See attached picture taken from the base of the South Arete of SEWS. I’d venture to say the snow line is above 6000 feet or higher depending on aspect.

Was there on Saturday. We started from Silver Star Creek - snow began as you start climbng from the basin, roughly 5400 feet. Snow conditions above 6500 feet were generally skiable. We went down the col route - there was snow for about 1000 feet below the col.
