Know_Fear
Climb: Grand finale White Pass/Hogsback - the candy store Date of Climb: 4/25/2004 Trip Report: Last weekend was the final weekend for lift service at White Pass, and my buddy Jeff and I decided to get our $10 worth. We took an early lift up on Saturday morning, skied south of Hogsback and tore the place up until the late Sunday afternoon. Our tired little legs just wouldn't go anymore. It was one of the best weekends I've had in the ol' Goat Rocks in terms of weather and snow. Of course we pretty much had the place to ourselves. For the sake of completeness we put first tracks on just about every face including a few hills we've never dared to ski in winter. We didn't keep track of elevation, but we guessed we skied about 6500 vertical. I put a few pics in the gallery. http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4590&password=&sort=1&cat=500&page=1 Gear Notes: Megamid, fat skis, skins, summer bag, 2001 California Merlot, snow shovel, beakon, Hawaiian shorts. Approach Notes: One way lift ticket at White Pass ski area $10. Edited April 27, 2004 by Know_Fear
