Wanted: Avy gear (loupe, thermom's, misc)

1. Loupe (8x or 10x)

2. Digital thermometer

3. Alcohol thermometer

 

for Avy Level 2 course next week; if someone's not using theirs I'll give them a good home...

 

Interested in:

1. nice probe w/ gradations

2. near-new logbook (w/ snow profiles)

3. collapsible, well-protected snow-saw

Try Wasatch Touring in Salt Lake City. I recently took an avy class and ordered a kit from them with a bunch of the items you listed in it. The kit wasn't very expensive.

The Wasatch Touring kits do look like nice - and they also feature dial stem thermometers, which are easier to use, and more durable than alcohol therms for snowpack reading.
