Krista Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 Hi there. I am a research assistant at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Joshua Tree National Park has contracted us to to work with them on a proposed fixed anchor policy in the backcountry. Currently we are looking for other areas which already have such policies. Please let me know if you know of places where there is a fixed anchor permitting process. We are trying to look at these to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of these programs as they are relevant to JTNP. Before any permit process is selected, the ideas for such a process will be open for public opinion. Thanks in advance for your responses. Krista Quote
