rbw1966 Posted March 26, 2002 Posted March 26, 2002 I apologize in advance if I am in the wrong forum. I'm doing some research on accident statistics on various peaks. I'm specifically looking for information on Kilimanjaro. Anyone know of any source information for climbing-related statistics on this peak? Gracias Quote
mtngrrrl Posted March 27, 2002 Posted March 27, 2002 You could try contacting KINAPA directly. When you do the peak, you have to sign in and out, so they probably track accidents, though it might be a paper system. You could also try contacting the British, Canadian or American embassies in Tanzania to work on more leads. Another idea is to try to contact Cameron Burns who wrote a Kiili/Kenya guidebook. Lastly, you could post on the Lonely Planet's thorntree. Kilimanjaro National ParkPark WardenP.O. Box 96MaranguTanzania Quote
