Martin Volken of North Bend and partner put tracks down the blatantly obvious North face couloir of Mclellans Butte this morning. It is near 50-55 degrees at the top <GULP!> and sustained to 45 with several steps created by snowed over cliff bands. A fall would likely end in Sonny Bono land. Watch out for that tree.

Pretty balls out if you ask me.

Does anyone (Lowell?) have firsthand knowledge of an earlier descent of this feature?

The feature has seen ski descents previously. I have climbed the route but have never skiied it. A climbing buddy of mine has skied the enitre thing.

Thanks Jens. I'll pass along the info.

My friends in 'Lil Wet' say you and Loren climb hard. Remember Loose Lady? Remember 7 continents? Climbed Abraxis in the rain lately? Seen you on 7C, but not at Loose L.

I'm going to climb "Thin Fingers" at the lower wall in the morning.

Going on a trip but when I get back my buddy and I are going to go hunt down virgin waterfalls in Lillooet.

Happy Hunting!
