ambipolar Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 I am looking for info on Dome Peak's SW summit variation. All I could find is "a short, steep snow-and-ice face leads to a pitch and a half of outstanding rock climbing", in J. Nelson and P. Potterfield's guide book. Also, if anyone could recommend another climb near Dome to spend an extra day or half on. I'd appreciate your replies. Quote
Crackbolter Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 You could head accross the Chickamin Glacier and go for Gunsight peak. The gully leading up between the North and South peaks is the easy route. Quote
ambipolar Posted August 5, 2003 Author Posted August 5, 2003 Thanks. You wetted my appetite, I'll read up on it a bit more. Quote
erik Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 SNOWDOME IS SUPPOSED TO BE A GOOD CLIMB TOO! Â Â Quote
Crackbolter Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 Nice Pic! The Chikamin doesn't look too broken up. I'd suggest getting in there soon! Quote
ambipolar Posted August 5, 2003 Author Posted August 5, 2003 Great photo! But why does it say 24 downloads!? I can get only 1 pic. Quote
ambipolar Posted August 5, 2003 Author Posted August 5, 2003 Oh well, now I figured the download counter. Never mind, I am new to this forum. Quote
