WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Glacier Question

Recommended Posts

Howdy yall. Moved to the San Juans for work this summer, and looks like Ill be in Bellingham for the fall/winter/spring. Ive done a good bit of multipitch rock/ice (5.8/WI4), so at least in my mind my biggest issues is my complete lack of experience with glaciers.

Would love to pay for a guided glacier course, but unfortunately it looks like those are over for the season? Been practicing on my own, but would ideally like to get a shakedown from someone who knows what theyre doing. Any suggestions on how to go about this? Or also suggestions for routes in the north cascades without glaciers (been browsing the becky book, but there's just so much there). Cheers,

Tim
