Kayland mountaineering boots size 13/Euro 47 (I think, but the tag has worn off) asking $80 I'm not sure the exact model, but I think they are an older version of the apex rock: https://www.kayland.com/en/shop-en/mountaineering/apex-rock-gtx-black-lime.html These are a nice weight boot for volcanoes and other snowy Cascade peaks in Spring-Summer-Fall conditions. Work well with semi-automatic crampons (heel clip) or straps, but no toe welt for fully automatic crampons. There is a waterproof e-Vent membrane that still works. They are in good shape and were resoled once. For whatever reason, my feet have gotten bigger, even though I'm in my 30s, and they no longer fit. I can't deal with tight boots any more. Available for pickup in Fremont neighborhood of Seattle or possibly elsewhere in the greater area. Email kamdh@uw.edu for fastest response. Thanks

Early Winters vintage bivouac sack. Made in Seattle. The company used an early Goretex fabric for the canopy that had a fuzzy interior surface much like Bibler Todd Tex and the purpose was to dissipate body moisture. - I washed it, removed the the crusty old seam sealant and resealed the seams (required 1&3/4 tubes of Seam Grip), applied dabs of Seam Grip here and there and added Velcro to the hood. - The blue panels were added by the original owner. Under each are several dime sized or smaller spots of wear on the moisture dissipating fuzz and in places into the Gore. Not extensive wear and the owner opted to add the panels which cover a much broader area rather then patching each individual spot beneath. While functional, the panels seem also to bespeak of a creative mind and may be thought of as retro cosmetic. – Polyurethane coated ripstop nylon fabric on the ground side. – No zipper but its a fairly roomy slide in. – 1 lb 4 oz, size large. A generously sized bivy sack that will accommodate winter bags. – Although all the seams are resealed, I can’t vouch for its absolute ability to be waterproof in heavy prolonged rain. I was once stuck in a desert canyon overnight and it repelled intermittent sprinkling through the night. Rain coming in a day or so for a serious test of protection. 4/24 Update: Set the bivy out with rain overnight. Puddling on the surface this AM. The Goretex repelled the water well but the coated nylon on the underside was damp to slightly wet in places. Coating looks good so may be a low PSI rating or just old. I have decided that a fresh application of polyurethane over the entire bottom is needed and will be using McNett Recoat. 4/26 Update: Today I applied a coat of McNett Recoat. Restored, clean condition. All area's of wear have been addressed with either dabs of seam grip or the panels. Asking $115.00. Or Estes Park pickup for $105.00. *Note: Not certain but ‘Early Winters may have been the first company to use Gore-Tex (brand name!) in outdoor products. ByroTex, Todd Tex, Integral Tex and Gore Tex are all the same material; expanded polytetrafluorethylene. Gore Tex no longer licenses its material for use in tents, thus the non proprietary versions in the various single wall tent manufacturers’. sold! Sold - 116 Liter Gregory Cassin Internal Frame Pack
normankirk posted a topic in The Yard Sale
Plus shipping cost - Gregory Cassin Internal Frame Pack - Top loading, multi day expedition pack. The Cassin was in production from 1987 through 1991 and was the predecessor to the Denali Pro. Up for sale is the final production model with 2 side entry zippers on the main compartment supplementing content access. The pack is in excellent, lightly used condition. There are no cuts, holes, loose stitching or prominent worn areas with one exception: The polyurethane coating was peeling so all was cleanly removed and I'm including a new Gregory pack rain cover. Features: - 6, 550 cubic inches, 110 liters capacity for the size large. - Pack and hipbelt are a size large. Fits torso length approximately 18 - 21 inches. Padded section of hip belt measurement is 34 inches. Add about 11 inches for the adjustable webbing sections. - 8 ounce pack cloth, #10 YKK heavy duty zippers. A robust, rugged pack. Very durably constructed albeit heavy by today's standards. Weighs in at 6 lbs, 10 oz. Ray Jardine's concepts in lightening pack weight were introduced around 1983 but the 2 design concepts continued to exist side by side for years with present day adherents of each. Large load haulers are needed for extended treks without resupply, trail crews and for restocking back country huts. - Suspension is 2 internal contoured aluminum stays and padded back panel. Dense foam padded ergonomic hipbelt. – Huge top lid pocket ((887 cubic inches), a main body and zippered lower sleeping bag compartment. Lid converts to a fanny pack or can be left behind for reduced weight. Side entry zippers on the main compartment. The top lid panel has lashing points for attaching crampons. – Extension/sealing skirt. - Included are 2 large, about 700 cubic inch each detachable accessory water/fuel bottle pockets and 2 removable front pockets that piggyback. 1 of nylon pack cloth the other mainly of mesh. These add more cubic inches to pack volume. Use with or without as needed. – Ice axe loops. - Side compression straps - Blue with a slightly purplish tint. Now asking $65.00. Was $110.00. The packs condition, with the exception of the coating separation, is on par with the best of vintage packs I have seen. Many years of use ahead for this pack. No.............. Yes............ 1 -
Long a mainstay for Appalachian Trail thru hikers and the National Park Service. The Vibram Skywalk sole has much remaining life and is not worn unevenly at the heel. Interior lining shows very little wear. Its a very durable boot and if the upper is cared for they will last for resoling. Any Red Wing shoe store will condition the uppers on the spot, without charge. - Boots weigh 2lbs 9oz. 2019 Dakine Poacher 32L Used this pack for 1 tour last year, essentially brand new. I am selling it because I am 6'7" and the Poacher is not quite long enough in the torso for me. This is a fully featured touring backpack with dedicated avalanche tool pocket for quick access to shovel/probe. Also has strap systems for A-frame ski carry and diagonal ski carry, as well as fleece lined goggle pocket and a few others for energy bars/miscellaneous items to keep everything organized. This is a great pack ideal for day trips in the backcountry. This backpack retails for $185, so $100 is a great deal for a product with less than 6 hours of use on it. text 360 556-5922 - in Olympia

For sale are some sweet approach skis - Atomic TM22 with Silvretta 404 bindings. Skis are 160 and in super shape, the bindings have a few broken plastic bits unrelated to their operation. I can include some G3 skins as well, they probably need regluing. For those unfamiliar, these bindings will take any mountaineering boot with a heel and toe welt, plus any ski boot. They're very easy to adjust as well. Great for long ice climbing approaches or other shenanigans. Pickup in Seattle, or we could arrange shipping. $175 for everything, thanks for looking!

I an effort to keep this thing from the landfill, I am hoping that someone can give it the TLC it needs or find another use for it. It's 30 years old, has a couple of tears, and the hip buckles are missing. Any takers? I am happy to meet up in Portland, and maybe at one of the gyms to hand it off? I am in SW Portland just outside of Multnomah Village. Thanks! Kellie
