It is a solid and rigid full shank plastic ice climbing double boot. The red Degre is one step down from the Arctis Expe only because it doesn’t have the ultra cold weather liner, but the shell is the same albeit a different color. You used to be able to buy the cold weather liner separately…I did and have both. I’m still climbing on my red Degres and they still hold up.
