  1. The Madam Hook Ice tools are one of the only tools ever made to be ergonomically used with a leash or leashless. They have interchangeable handles that change the geometry of the tool so that it can correctly be used in either form. They head weight is also significant giving the added security of sinking deep into the ice with every swing and not being too tiring to pull out. They are perfect for the beginner who prefers the a leash to relieve the stress on their hands and fingers and also appeal to a proficient climber who prefers the unencumbered action of a leashless tool. Call or pm if interested. Daniel 208-215-5171
  2. I am selling these top of line mixed ice tools because the grip does not fit my large hands without discomfort. They have brand new pics and are considered one of the best mixed tools ever made. The Quantum Race is the ultimate axe for ice competitors with an aerospace grade carbon composite shaft. New hot forged head in chromolly steel. Carbon Composite shaft: no compromise over quality. This is made possible by the type of reinforcement and the orientation of the fibres, as the light alloy matrix transfers the load to the external reinforcement in Carbon fibres. The shaft has multiple grips for traction, hand swap-overs, reverse traction, and lets the climber’s imagination run wild. Swap holding hand on the shaft and the point of the blade will not move. Please call or PM me if interested. I can text a picture but could not figure out how to upload one on this site. Daniel Shaw 208-215-5171

Retail at $335.00 each. I am selling them because I have extra large hands and the main grip is too tight for me. I put brand new pics on them and taped the shaft with insulated electrical tape for added traction. They are like new and are the best mixed tools I have ever used.
  4. Sorry, I posted the same pic twice. Here are two others.
  5. I was out there with Jason Baker and TJ Anderson. We did H2O2 and Zenith. Both were in great shape albeit difficult conditions. We led everything on Zenith except for the middle piller. It would be stout for the Will Gadd type. Super day though and I would expect it to be all about gone in today's rain and high temps. When we left the canyon yesterday my car said it was 47 degrees.
  6. Here are two pics. Hope they come through.
  7. I was up at Bull River this past Sunday. It was in pretty good for ice and mixed stuff is always good. The River wasn't completely frozen though which made moving around beneath the climbs difficult. I fell through up to my waist trying to walk from one climb to the next. You can always rap in at each separate location or hike the trail downstream to access the lower climbs. Ice took great protection and seemed to be plenty thick. I'm not sure how to add a photo or I would.
