  1. We climbed on June 29th and conditions were great. 4th of July route looks like it goes on a small fin but everyone has been playing it safe via Crystal Pass, up and over Five Fingers (upper bergschrund still has a couple weeks). Some photos on our blog.
  2. Brush up on your skills. Free companion rescue clinics at Hurricane Ridge with Pacific Alpine Guides: Friday Jan 11th w/Steve Christie from Backcountry Access Friday Feb 8th This clinic will review basic companion rescue (avalanche rescue) at the AIARE Level 1 standard, allowing ample opportunity for guided practice scenarios. At both clinics we'll have some of the latest gear on hand from BCA. Where to Meet: 10am at the Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center (top of the road) What to Bring: Warm clothes for standing around in winter weather conditions, your personal avalanche gear if you have it, and you skis, splitboard, snowshoes, etc for more realistic practice scenarios.
