I've returned to the Wenatchee area after a long absence and would like to get in contact with mature and responsible climbers to plan outings around the local area (i.e Cascades, Vantage, Banks Lake, etc). I'm mostly a weekend warrior, but am interested in pursuing multi-day challenges (as time permits). What I can do: tie knots, belay (with an ATC or munter hitch), set anchors on rock/ice/snow/sturdy objects, scramble, climb comfortably up to 5.7, ascend ropes via prussiks,snow/glacier travel, use an ice axe, crevasse rescue, etc. What I don't know how to do (or need a careful eye watching me as I did it): ice climbing, leading using trad gear (I can lead on sport route, but that doesn't count IMHO), avalanche rescue, MOFA/WFR, big wall/aid climbing (really have no interest). I think I have a reasonably good handle on the basics and would like be a climbing Padowan for some of the local mountain Jedis in this neck of the woods. itzsoeazy@hotmail.com
