There was not much snow on the ground at either 8-mile or the Bridge Creek campgrounds last weekend. I don't think 8-mile is officially open until Apr. 29th? Just curious, anybody know what the private event camping at 8-mile last weekend was about?

Thanks for the reply, but I just made plans to get out to index tomorrow since the forecast there is looking good. I always wondered what my bus drivers did during the middle of the day ... I wonder if they were undercover crack climbers? Anyways, I'll probably be looking for weekday partners again soon.

Still could use a partner Monday or Tuesday if anybody didn't get enough this weekend. Looks like Monday at index should be dry and Leavenworth should be good mon or tue.

I'm hoping to find a partner to get out to index or leavenworth on monday and/or tuesday (4/9 & 4/10). I trad lead up to easy 5.10s (trying to push this) and can follow 11'ish. I am happy to lead all day, share leads, or belay you on harder climbs. I would camp or just day trip from Seattle. I often have off Fri-Mon or Fri-Tue and am always interested in finding new partners for cragging or alpine climbs.

I'm also interested in some recommendations. I'm new to winter/spring climbing and am wondering what kind of conditions to expect a couple days in to this upcoming weather window (so about Monday and Tuesday). With the bottomless snow throughout march, will any routes on the volcanoes or colchuck area be doable / not a death wish?

Is this overhanging granite sport cave real? How do I find it? FISH ON!!! An oldy but a goody. Good one. No wonder it wasn't in my WA indoor climbing guidebook. Haha.
