In conjunction with the University of Portland Outdoor Pursuits Program and RBCC we will be celebrating Earth Day at Rocky Butte and cleaning up the local crag with a trash cleanup for the first stewardship project for the year. Come join us and celebrate Earth Day at Rocky Butte Sunday April 22nd from 9:30 am to 01:00pm.   3. We wanted to remind everyone of our meet and greet party on October 1st @ 1200 NW Marshall in the Swanky ASA Sky Lounge (16 floors above the Pearl) at 7:00 PM. There will be some food and beer provided. But feel free to bring a snack or side dish, the meat will be provided. This party is for anyone interested in the future of Rocky Butte. We will have a raffle and climbing movies on the big screen. A friend of ours is a casting director for Nikon and are in need of very experienced Rock Climbers.rates for the photo shoot are still being determined, but ballpark looking at $2000+ for the hero of each sport and $500-$1000 for the secondary.   9. Yes, moving the memorial might be a good idea, we have ODOT, Access Fund and Local Community members helping us with many of these issues at Rocky Butte. If you can attend the meet and greet, that would be great! We want to hear about how Rocky Butte can be changed to promote more responsible behavior, if not send me an email at "info@rockybutteclimbing.com" Thanks for your input. Rocky Butte Climbing Coalition is an advocacy group dedicated to maintaining and improving access as well as promoting responsible use of Rocky Butte Natural Area.
  10. ODOT has given Rocky Butte Climbing Coalition(RBCC)the green light and are offering continued support to continue with more projects beyond litter clean ups. We will be looking at doing graffiti removal, invasive control, and existing trail maintenance. Thanks to the success of the 3 part clean up series Rocky Butte is on its way to becoming an awesome recreation area.
