  1. Montypiton - this is Sam, we had an email exchange 4 or 5 weeks ago. I'll PM you again.
  2. Bump - still looking for more partners for July!
  3. Thanks for the interest everyone. I'll primarily be looking to climb long alpine rock routes in the 5.8 - 5.11- range, but would also be down for easier climbs on the classic peaks (Mt. Blanc). I don't have a lot of experience on mixed terrain but would be interested in doing easier steep snow/ice/mixed routes as well. I don't have a ton of specific routes in mind, but the Frendo looks ultra-classic and I have a couple guidebooks on the way to feed the stoke.
  4. I'll be in Chamonix from June 27 - July 27 this summer. I have a friend joining me for the final week but am looking for climbing partners for the first 3 weeks of the trip. I'm looking to do as many alpine routes as possible. I climb in the WI/AI4 and easy 5.11 range and will drag to France all the group gear that would be needed to do these routes. I'm renting a studio apartment a few blocks away from the Midi tram for the month (1 BR, kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc.) and crashing with me is an option. Basically, if you can get yourself to Cham you'll have a partner, place to sleep, and a bunch of gear ready to go! Bonus points if you speak French, because I definitely don't. PM me with questions or interest. -Sam
  5. Hello, I climbed the CNR yesterday with my buddy and found your camera. PM me with your address and I'll send it to you. Hope you had fun on the route! -Sam
  6. Left them laying flat on the snow with bases up, with bright orange BD skins still on the bases. The graphic on the skis is a tidal wave near the tips and a wooly mammoth near the tails. They say "Praxis" on them and are mounted with Plum Guides. I doubt there are a lot of (or any) other people out there with this exact setup ...
  7. Stashed my skis about 600-800 feet above the top of the Palmer lift on Mt. Hood on 3/10 and continued on to the Hogsback. I bailed as the weather deteriorated, and was not able to locate my skis on the way back down. They are Praxis Backcountry skis with Plum Guide binders and BD skins still attached. Not sure if they were buried in the snowfall or blew away in the wind, but I would be very happy to see them come back to me! I'd reward the finder with the cost of the set-up if sold in its current condition (pretty new).
  8. I live in the Seattle area and am looking for a partner to head to Bozeman area (or meet there) on either the night of 12/30 or early in the AM on 12/31. Goal would be Hyalite ice for 1-2 days +/- a day at Big Sky. Need to be back to Seattle by the evening of 1/3. I'm relatively new at leading ice (would lead up to easy WI4) but can follow (ie hangdog, see "top rope tough guys") just about anything. I have all the gear necessary as well as the transportation. Reply or PM if you're interested. -Sam
  9. Hey Erin, I live in Seattle but was hoping to get over to Bozeman for some ice climbing and skiing from 12/31-1/2 and am looking for someone to climb with. Are you available / interested? I'm relatively new at leading but have all the gear we'd need and would be happy to put up some WI3 to easy 4 routes. -Sam
