  1. I’m going to sell my A5/TNF double portaledge, double gore-tex expedition rain fly. I also have a large A5/TNF haul bag. I want to sell these as a package. These items have NEVER been used; ever. I’ve set it up to air it out, but it’s never been off my patio! Zero scuffs! The rain fly still has the tags on it…. These are a lot lighter than other models; they are: 12 lbs. 1.2 oz. for the ledge including the haul sack; the rain fly is: 5 lbs. 9.5 oz. It has a built in, attached, stuff sack. I think for all three items they retailed for about $1200. I’m attaching a some pix. For all three items: Portaledge, rainfly and haulbag. I’ll take $875.; OBO. The Pro Traxion $135. New; I’ll take $90. Not sure I ever used this at all. Ascenders: $75 ea. New; I’ll take $90. For both. I practiced w/them twice so they’re a little scuffed, but not much. BD 6-step Etrier’s are $39. Each New; I’ll take $50. For both; practiced w/them two short pitches. There may be other A5/The North Face portaledges and expedition rain fly’s out there, but these are virtually NEW; unscathed. These are probably the only new condition, unused, with tags on the rain fly available; on earth. (How’s that for a sales pitch?) I know, I know, nauseating; save the emails…..
  2. Julian, Seen your post for a partner. My just cancelled for tomorrow at Levenworth, but he's available Sun. Are you interested in doing something tomorrow, Sat. at Levenworth? I need to know asap! Thanks, Mick
  3. I have three items: North Face winter mitts; for extreme conditions ;Primaloft, with leather palms; 9.8 oz. size LARGE; never been worn; not even once! Only $90.00 North Face Apex Jacket; Polartec, very little wear; used as a mid-layer; 4 way-stretch, very abraision resistent, two way zip on front pockets; Summit Series. Size small. I normally wear a med-large jacket, but bought this small on purpose because of the stretch aspect. Its like wearing a wetsuit, therefore, there is absolutely zero bunching up when wearing a harness. When hanging out looking down for a piece there is no obstruction. You quickly see what you're looking for. Great technical piece. New $149. asking $75.00 A 4-way stretch fleece zip T. In good condition; see photo of cuffs and brushed fleece as evidence of condition. size Med. New $80.00 to 95.00, if I remember correctly, asking $35.00
  4. SOLD!
  5. Black, size: Large. Worn only 30 minutes; therefore, brand new in essence. $220.00

  9. These tools are so new they are still in the vacuum packaging..... New w/tax: $466.00; make me an offer! 1 Pair of Cassin newly design X-All Mountain Ice Tools. The January 2012 issue of Rock and Ice gives them a 4 star rating. The reviewer notes, "The X-All Mountain is the finest thin-ice tool I have used, and one of the top all-around ice tools. The secret to the X-All's performance is its needlelike pick and light swing, which work in harmony to minimize ice fracturing."
  10. One pair of Fussions; used on approx. 5-6 pitches. In EXCELLENT condition! The picks are still so new they've never been sharpened. New w/tax their about $600.00; I wanted $425.00; make me an offer I can't refuse... Get yourself a fine Christmas gift!! I'm in Coeur d'Alene; maybe we could meet somewhere and do a couple of pitches together and save shipping. Come and get'em....
  11. One pair of Fussions; used on approx. 5-6 pitches. In EXCELLENT condition! The picks are still so new they've never been sharpened. You know the drill: new w/tax their about $600.00; I want $425.00. I'm in Coeur d'Alene; maybe we could meet somewhere and do a couple of pitches together and save shipping. Come and get'em....
  12. These are still in the vacuum package! The price is for the pair (2) tools. $425.00 and I'll pay shipping. Read the 4 star review in Jan. 2012 Rock and Ice where the reviewer calls them "... the finest thin-ice tool I have used, and one of the top all-around ice tools."
  13. I'm looking for anyone interested in going to the Bozeman Icefest on Dec. 7-11. I live in Coeur d'Alene and can easily hook up w/anyone heading east via Hwy. 90; or, I can drive. I can go a little early, or stay after the 11th, to climb as well. Can do my share for gas, a room or bring my 4-season tent. I just want to climb. I want to climb them all.... Mick
  14. Got a partner! Thanks for the views and consideration.... Mick
  15. Hey, Looking to hook up w/someone(s) do climb Chimney Rock in the Selkirk's North Idaho. I'd like to do the Rappel Route, 5.7, am open to discuss options. I can be available mid-week, with some notice, as well as the weekend. I have gear, rope, and the will.... Thanks! Mick
  16. Gotta partner for this; thanks!
  17. I'm looking for a partner who would like the climb the Standard Route on Harrison Peak. Open to most dates except this Sat. 8/13. A moderate 5.7 crack system. There's about a 2 hour approach, but a moderate elevation gain with some scrambling to access the base of the route. A very well maintained trail up to Harrison Lake. A great alpine setting with not a lot of baggage. I have plenty of gear. Have gear, will travel.... Mick
  18. Hey Gene, Once again, thanks for taking the time for such a detailed overview. Much appreciated.... I just got off the phone w/a climber that we've been talking about hooking up for awhile now. He's been up there several times and just did the north ridge a few weeks ago. He did mention he had concern about rock fall and the objective hazards associated with that route. Based on your overview seems like we need to take the direct route, to avoid the hazards, and run up (metaphorically speaking) the lower half. Again, thanks for the detail, knowledge, and willingness to share.... Mick
  19. Thanks for the tip on the cloudy day aspect on summit day. Very good tip; really good. Also appreciate pointing me to Nelson's guide book. Thx,
  20. Hey, Wanting to do the Coleman Headwall. Anybody recently on Baker? How's the approach, crevasse issues/snow bridges etc, and conditions on the route itself? Concerning pro, just ice screws (long ones I'd suspect)or a light rock rack as well (including The Pink Tri-cam)??? Never been on Baker before so I'd really appreciate input/beta: How far from TH to best bivy location to intersect w/walk off. Thanks!!!
  21. Hey, I'm looking for a good condition pair of Boreal's Cerro Torre light weight ice/mixed climbing boots. Size: US 11-11.5
  22. Dave, Where on the "eastside" are you located? What do you have in mind for alpine routes? I'm in North ID, CDA area. Mick
  23. Hey guys, I came across this recent review of the Fusions, 2 months old and informative. Thought you might find it of interest. The author only makes one incorrect reference concerning the Laser pick having the same shape tip as the Titian. Other than that, pretty helpful. Enjoy, Mick http://www.theepicentre.co.uk/blog/black-diamond-fusion-2-review
  24. Hey Gunkie.... I only tried them once and may be premature. I'm going to Canmore this weekend to swing'em again.I understand they are a great mixed tool. I'm trying to get a balance between a good mixed tool yet performs well on ice; I know, arn't we all. Its been suggested, by more than one person, to try using the Laser picks. They're only 3mm, and will penetrate ice well, but might not be the best for torquing. Do you have a set? Any thoughts? Thanks for asking. Have a good one, Mick
  25. I have a PAIR of new, the green ones, BD Fusion ice/mixed tools. I used them once. Just not for me.... $450.00; OBO. I'll be in Canmore next weekend, can deliver and save shipping. Thx! Mick
