  1. hell yeah awesome post, ive wanted to climb this mountain in the winter ever since my summer accent. how was the avy danger that day?
  2. a mess to get up without a proper set of snow tires and a lifted vehicle around this time of the year (nov till the snow melts). If you manage to make it to the end of the logging road (at the base of McClellan Butte) be prepard for a bush wacky accent if you plan to head to the duke and duchess of kent. For some strange reason there used to be a clear cut pathway to the base of the duke n duchess in may 2010. When i returned in summer around july the road had been obliderated into a huge mess, nothing but a rugged road full of dirt n rock trnches. Huge trees and root limb sticking out of the ground on the pathway, just an overall bush wacky rugged trip. Theres no evidence of any report of construction work done on the internet and i cant find out why they demolished this trail. I asume it must of been to keep dirt bikers out of logging territory. Well if anyone knows why just please write an update
  3. has any one ever attemted to climb the big talus field on the dirty harrys peak trail in the winter. I scrambled the route in the summer and it was a class 2 with a little bit of dicey section in the last 200 feet. But i must say a winter climb up that talus field looks nearly irresistible.
  4. how bad are some of those chutes and gullies? i climbed McClellan in the summer, and since then ive been interested in climbing it this winter.
