  4. I work over at the North Face and according to the information provided by Goretex, Paclite is substantially less breathable than Pro-Shell according to lab tests. If I can remember I will check and get the exact ratings for the different fabrics next time I work.
  5. Thanks for the info!
  6. I have asked around about Opal Creek wall and everyone I ask knows nothing. Then someone said it talks about it in the old Portland rock climbs book. So I bought that and found out you need pitons for doing the steel and stone route. Does anyone who has done that route know if I can aid the thin portions with some HB's, I.M.P.s, micro nuts, etc? I am a poor college student and have nothing but a traditional free climbing rack(No Pitons or Bolting gear!)
  7. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for finding people to climb mt hood with me. The catch is that I have never done any type of snow or glacier travel. I have a pretty good background in rock climbing, placing gear, multi-pitch climbing but want to get involved with traditional mountaineering. If anyone has an idea of where to start or if anyone want to take me along on a trip please pm me. I am a fit college student and should be able to keep up at high altitudes! Thank you, my name is Reese.
