Hey folks, I'm considering buying a harness for alpine climbing, and the issue is I have a 40-41" waist. The issue seems to be that very few harnesses seem to fit this size waist while still having a comfortable amount of belt webbing left after doubling through the buckle. The Arc'teryx A300a says it goes to 42" but it's also $145. Has anyone my size found a workable product? Thanks, Sean

Thanks for the South Sister input, folks. The 6 1/2 mile trek along the road before you can even start the climb is the thing that has me re-thinking this!

South Sister Can anyone provide some information about the route from the south starting at Devil's Lake trailhead this time of year (March)? Never climbed it before and I'm wondering if there's typically an avalanche risk on this trail.
