I am looking to climb Rainier next year (2011) with a guide service. Living in the mid-west, I am looking for some advice on the best time of year to go for the best chance of success. This will be my first venture into ice/glacier climbing, I do have experience in rock climbing, but this is something I have always wanted to do and my Wife said go for it, as long as you use a guide service. Any advice any one can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
