Trip: Ruth Mountain - Video - Ridge Ski Date: 7/4/2011 Trip Report: Never posted a trip report before, figure i'd try it out... This trip answers the question of what people with cameras do on a typical Cascades weather day. Plan: July 2 - Drive from Spokane, Hike to camp July 3 - Harvest Corn in the afternoon. July 4 - Hike out and drive back to Spokane. What actually happened... July 2 - Drove from Spokane, hiked to camp in perfect weather. July 3 - Rain all day. Nuff said. July 4 - Decided to climb and ski anyways despite the long drive ahead. As a result had to climb and ski WAY earlier than planned. Mostly a hardpack ski. Ended up choosing an easier ridge descent instead of the face. Hope you enjoy the video! *It's available in HD! [video:youtube]
