  1. That first pitch was a little scary. Consolation prize, I left a biner and one of Nastia's slings at the 2nd pitch anchor to back up the old slings, so some booty awaits.

The old anchors are cool on the road less traveled.

  2. For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?

And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

Sorry to hear about your friend. :(

I jugged and pulled the rope on Jensens, didn't think the wind and rain would relent again this season, and everyone telling me I should pull it. Now I regret it. Who knows what tomorrow brings?

  3. While you boys did doth mold in the rain amongst the gloom, I been to far away climes in search of tasty waves, twin peaks, and vitamin D.

  4.

Kudos to Adam Baylor for the successful Beacon Rock climbing film production of Then and Now. Tickets were sold out at Patagonia and it was a who's who line-up of the old time Beacon heavy hitters, Jeff Thomas and Jim Opdyke being the youngsters of the crew. Even Fred Beckey made a showing! It was a good thing for Beacon Rock, and it brought the climbing community together in a great way.
