do you mean July 18th? I could do the 18th. I've been to the top of Baker once before (Easton). I only have a week of ice climbing under my belt though. Spent a month climbing in New Zealand this past March and really got the bug. Id love to do the North ridge under the right conditions... Also I have a car. What were the conditions like when you were up there? Brandon

I do mean car to car, thanks for the response. Mostly I am wondering if ice/rockfall hazard will be too high to safely pass onto the kautz glacier.

A friend and I are considering climbing the Kautz glacier route and descending the DC in a day. Is this a feasible thing to do ending up on the summit for the fireworks on the 4th? Any info is appreciated.
