Hi all, Looking for partner(s) to do some mountaineering in the Bugaboo Range in Southeastern B.C Canada this summer, hopefully climb Snowpatch and Bugaboo Spires. I am a 21 year old student living in Metaline Falls, Washington this summer for an internship, and will be here through the first week in August, I am pretty flexible on time for such a trip. It would probably be easiest to meet up in Nelson, B.C [only an hour from where I am in Washington], or down here perhaps in Spokane or somewhere. Could also meet up here in Metaline Falls as it's 'on the way' and I have a spare bedroom at my place, so we could spend a day/afternoon packing and organizing. I have my 4x4 truck with me, plus all my alpine gear, large rack, snow/ice stuff, ect.. I have an AT [Alpine Touring] setup on my ski's and was considering trying to do a ski approach to the spires from the Conrad Kain hut if this is a possibility. I haven't done anything this big yet but do have a good deal of alpine multipitch trad experience/general mountaineering experience. I am thinking sometime in late June or July would work best for me; I would probably do a 5 or 6-day trip; it's 4 hours to the Bug's from where I am here in WA. 2 or 3 days of climbing and maybe 2 nights in the Conrad Kain hut would be ideal, maybe try and summit Snowpatch, Bugaboo, and Pidgeon Spires. What do you guys think? Would like to maybe spend a weekend climbing in the North Cascades/NE Washington and see how we climb together first. Really want to make this happen, shoot me a message! Anyone in Spokane or Nelson B.C area interested in doing some climbing in Northeastern WA/Southern B.C in the next few weeks and lookin for partners? Let me know, there's all this great climbing around here, I mean I can look out my window here in Metaline Falls and see 70+ routes 1/4 mile away, but ALAS NO CLIMBERS!! I'm convinced there must be some climbers somewhere up here in the wilds of Northeastern Washington haha...

Hi all, Wondering if anyone wants to hit up Metaline Falls/Pend Oreille Village crags this weekend and any other time this summer? I am a 21 year old student living in Metaline Falls this summer for an internship as a geologist at Teck-Cominco's Pend Oreille Mine here, and have a house right in town which has plenty of space so if anyone is thinking about headin up from Spokane ect... is lookin to climb over the weekend and crash in town for the night you are welcome to! I lead up to ~5.11d sport but would be happy to belay people on harder stuff or TR. Also looking for partners for surrounding climbing and mountaineering in Northeastern WA and Southeastern B.C; I climb sport a lot but I like alpine multipitch trad much more; have rack + gear + experience looking for partners!!
