Great picture from Crest Jewel of the Ahwiyah point rockfall. Also props on leading of Copper Penny. That doesn't get done too much. My first trip to the valley several years ago I walked up to it to lead it, with a single 4" Camalot as my big piece. That was a lesson in humility!

No, the hoard had just fixed Texas and Boot Flakes. There was a fix-a-thon going on below the stovelegs though, with lines strung all the way to the ground below the bottom Stoveleg pitch. Madness!!!

There will most likely be dry exposed ground. Ediza is in the low 9000s if I remember correctly. I was on the West side of Banner/Ritter in late June of last year, and it was a moderate snow year and there was zero problems camping up to 9,500.

I have no problem stopping by Vegas when I go from Moab west towards Yosemite.

I am heading from Seattle down to Zion/Moab the week of April the 4th. If you want a ride, I can fit you and your gear (up to 2 people). I am not bound by a schedule, so if you need to leave a few days later, no prob. No need for partners (if you are stuck partnerless we can work something out though... Yes, I have tried searching, yes, I have visited many websites including Spanish sites. Ok, with that said, I am heading down this winter and am looking for any info or topos for moderate (up to 5.11) rock routes in the El Chalten area. I have other plans in the area as well, but have a friend that I will be climbing with for a while first and am looking for some stuff to do with her. Rubio y Azul on Cerro de Media Luna looks really good, but can only find a couple pictures. Preferably some routes around 5.9/5.10 5-10 pitches long (if these exist!) Got a question that my guidebook (old Clint Cummins) can't really answer. I am looking for a nice cruiser aid line out at Index with minimal, easy free climbing. Something to dial in solo skills, around 3-4 pitches or more. C1 on finger cracks is fine, but something trickier would be preferred. Thanks for your input!

I have heard there are some good boulders/sport routes around Lake Sutherland area. I have been to Elwha wall, but am going to be up there without partner and want to check out some more rock. Anybody have any beta (they'd be willing to part with?)...
