  1. No new and exciting leads unfortunately, but I did follow a beautiful lead up Breakfast of Champions. It was only the second time I've been on that route and it is as strenuous as I remembered, so I was happy not resting or falling. Got some fun air time while rapping to the ground.

  2. Is anyone available for easier Index routes today? I'd like to lead some of the 5.8s and maybe take a crack at Roger's Corner if I'm feeling froggy. I'll even go to Exit 38 if that's the only taker. Rack, rope, car and willing to use all!

  3. I've given a thought to doing Rainier this winter, but had pretty much given up do to the unusually high avalanche conditions. I'm not too optomistic about the chances of conditions improving this winter, but the end of February is quite a ways away. If conditions do get better, I'd be interested in an attempt and at the very least would be willing to head up to Camp Muir. Not to be mean, but I'm not interested in a partner with more enthusiasm than sense.

About me: I've usually got a lot a free time and enjoy going to Mt. Rainier. I've only summitted 3 times and only by Disappointment Cleaver and the Emmons Glacier routes, but I've been on the Ingraham Direct and Disappointment Cleaver another 3 times that we ended up turning around on. I've never been on it, but had an interest in doing Gib Ledges. Last winter road access was a problem and this year it's avalanches.

  4. Hey Audrey,

I was wondering how your summer was going over there. I've been out a couple of times to Leavenworth this summer and have climbed classic crack, but only on TR. I work Saturday and Monday, so if you can climb today or Sunday I would definately like to go climb. Other than that, I'm booked until next weekend.

P.S. If anyone still wants to climb today best chance of reaching me is by phone 360.510.0717

  5. Looking for a partner tomorrow (Friday). I'm willing to go anywhere, but can't leave Seattle until about 8:00 am because that's when I get off work. Wouldn't mind going to Index, Leavenworth, exits, Eerie, or wherever. If you lead it, I can follow in the 10s, but I've been learning trad this summer so some easy to moderate trad would be great. I've lead the couple easy routes at index, and was thinking about giving classic crack a shot on lead next time I'm in Leavenworth. If you'd rather do sport, that's fine by me. I just want to get out sometime this week, because I've been too busy with work.

  6. I want to go climb in Washington pass if you're still looking for a climbing partner. Don't really have any trad experience, since I've only cleaned a couple of pitches and messed around with it some. I have lots of mountaineering experience and have been very dedicated to rock climbing this year. Mostly done sport routes, but I've started to assemble a rack but only have a couple of cams and a set of nuts.

Let me know if you're still looking and what route you were thinking of. I've got Monday through Thursday off of this upcoming week. 360.510.0717

  7. I'm looking for anyone to go do some rock climbing today. I'll go pretty much anywhere you feel up for. Climbed mostly sport, but I'm eager to learn more about trad. Only have a couple cams and a set of nuts currently. I've lead some 5.10 sport routes at Exit 38, but it seems like that area is a bit soft rating wise. So probably feel more comfortable leading in the 5.9, but I'll follow (or try to follow) anything you feel comfortable with. 360.510.0717.

  8. I too am looking for some people to climb with tomorrow and the rest of the summer/year/next year. 29 yom who has a lot of free time. I'm working today and don't get off until tomorrow morning, but I'll climb where ever anyone wants to go tomorrow. Best bet to contact me is my cellphone but you'll probably have to leave a message: 360.510.0717. rslukic@yahoo.com

  9. Howdy all,

I'm new here and am currently looking for a climbing partner/partners. My schedule is usually pretty open and this week I have off from 6/22-6/25 and am looking for someone to go climbing with on at least a couple of those days. I'm pretty open to going just about anywhere, but if you're lacking ideas we could go do SEWS, Glacier, Baker or just get out for some cragging somehwere.

I'm pretty experienced and competent when it comes to mountaineering and glacier travel and have more than all the equipment necessary. I've done a fair amount of rock climbing but haven't done too much lead climbing yet. I could comfortably follow about 5.9 or do some toproping if you preferred. This year I've decided to make a deeper commitment to rock climbing and have been going to stonegardens 2-3 times a week since January.

Best bet at contacting me is by email: rslukic@yahoo.com

Lets get out and climb something,

    Lukic
