how far do you recommend skinning up? top of palmer, along the traverse through Irock saddle?

Want to do leuthold couloir Friday night. anyone been up that route recently? We would also like to ski down the south side. recommended to climb in AT boots and carry skiis, or just deal with the slog down and climb in my mountain boots?

i'm in PDX still, will hopefully be heading out tonight if conditions look good. do you have any info on mountain conditions or trail beta? i'd be totally down for doing something sat and sun if so! 503-367-8189

Want to get out to sisters this weekend since Hood don't look so hot. anyone have any beta on good moderate routes (buddy is beginner skier, i'm long time skier beginner AT) Also, NW Avy has nothing on the area, does anyone have avalanche info for the sisters or know where i could become enlightened? much obliged to any who can respond!
