I have the Rab Summit Mtn, and it does not have a vent/portal, it only vents at the door. Before I ordered last Fall I thought it would have a vent in addition to the door. I'm wondering if some of these were made w/ and some w/o a vent. Does any body know anything about this?

I have owned the Trango S EVO gtx, and I now own the Trango Alp. I sold the Trango S after a few outings b/c I bought them a bit too small. I got the Trango Alp b/c they seemed to be a bit more durable, but they do weigh a few ounces more. As far a fit and flex go, the two boots seemed the same to me. Also, the sole on the Alp is a bit more aggressive with deeper grooves.

Thanks for checking, but I'm just interested in Trango Extreme's.

I'm looking for a pair that is in good condition. I'd be interested in any of the extreme versions (except the Ice version), but prefer the older yellow version with gortex.

We just got back to Seattle yesterday from Hyalite. My favorite WI3 was Hangover. The top of the pitch was a lot of fun and lacked the completely picked out nature of the other 3's close to the parking lot. We were repeatedly told by the locals that the ice is very fat this year. Everything we got on was it great shape!
