Climbed Mt. Baring and ran into some base jumpers and offered to take their pictures. here you go guys..
As I downclimbed back to the trail head I was glad to here from a lady that you both landed smoothly.
I've climbed gunn once not reaching the summit. on the asent I made it to the cliffs, skirted the cliffs then took the deep rock gully that starts at the bottom left of the photo. this gully gets very steep at times and may be more lenghthy than the alternate route in mind: bypassing the gully skirting further to the right of the picture then climbing up in the tamer sloples. this routle looks doable but there seem to be some cliffs in the way.
which rout have you taken?
which is the better route?
well I took a scope out hike on green mountian and got a nice pic of Liberty Mountain, looks like a long way from here but becky suggests canyon lake road. As it turns out the road has been abandond for a long time, has anyone been up here? Anyone recognize it?
Boulder River Wilderness the furthest western peaks of the cascades, Three Fingers, White Horse, Big bear, and Liberty. Has any one skied on or around here!? have you used green mt. to access liberty? these peaks are so full of character I really want to get into them.
Thanks
