  1. I work in Minnesota as a dogsled guide and would love an old down jacket I can beat on. I would like to keep my new one in good shape, so let me know if you've got one to let go of fairly cheap. Any brand, any fill. It doesn't matter.
  2. I have two North Face Nuptse down jackets for sale: Medium Red/ Black shoulders: new w/ tags. Medium Grey/ grey shoulders: used but great shape. Some stains on front. May dryclean out (no gaurantee). Asking 100 for red jacket (paid 125), 60 for grey jacket. Plus shipping from Minneapolis on both. Will trade for comperable jacket size large. Will buy comperable jacket size large. Leaving for South America on Tues. PM with offers, trades, or jacket for sale. Mike
  3. I can't speak to expe's but I have the same size foot and went with 11 degre. It gave me room for a custom footbed, and extra socks. I would err on the side of a touch to big... I have made the mistake of going a bit too small wiht disasterous results. Warmth is really comprimised when a boot is too small.
  4. My shoes were jacked from the climbing gym at UMD. I was up visiting a friend, and accidently left them outside the door, and when I went back they were gone. My friend asked around and nobody has seen them. As for my porform access, I volunteer as a belayer at the gym at SJU for birthday parties, etc. The Outdoor center gives us access to the proforms, and I heard they are doing one in Dec. As for thrifty; I don't make it to the cities very often. But Midwest is about the only store I buy stuff from. The expos are sweet too. Mike PS. still looking for the shoes that almost got tossed in the dump.
  5. Hey there, my climbing shoes were stolen from the gym last week. I need a pair to get me through to December when I have access to a proform. I don't have much money, and just need the old pair of shoes sitting in your closet. I wear a size 10.5 US/ 43.5 Euro. These shoes are only going to be used for indoor climbing. I'm not too picky- they need not be in good shape at all. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, Mike
  6. He's just jealous. Yeah man, say what you will about NOLS. I have heard it all, but every NOLS instructer I have met has been remarkable. I have had the opportunity to work with a couple out here and love 'em. I am super pumped for my semister. Coming from MN it is very diffiuct to gain experience in the mountains- especially technical skills. Hopefully my course will spend some time on the glaciers southern chile in known for. By the way, I am still looking for size 11 Koflach boots.
  7. I have a pair of large Marmot Gortex alpine climbing pants for sale. Too heavy for my needs- I bought them before I saw them and haven't used them. They are about 3 years old. Pics available. I am asking 150. I am gearing up for a NOLS course in Patagonia, and am looking for a few odds and ends. -asteralplane size medium -A pair of plastics (Koflach Degree or comperable)size 11.5 -12 point crampons -harness with adjustable legs (I think I may want to buy this new, but if you have something good...) I am a poor college student, so I can't afford too much but let me know if you have anything that may work at a reasonable price. Mike
