  1. Am thinking of getting in to possibly do W. McMillan spire. Would have to leave the TH early in AM on Saturday. Hike fast (but safe). Plan to get back down Sunday night before dark if possible. May or may not have enough time to do the summit, we'll see. Driving from Seattle. Edit-- deterioration in weather forecast, maybe not a good time for this trip...
  2. Was there on Tues 6/22. The snow is only after walking the trail for about 2-3 hours, but good snow on the upper west slope and better on east slope, so it is definitely a fun little ski if you don't mind walking a little; its all relative. Trail is fine, one blowdown is insignificant.
  3. Yes I could see that, looked nice. But, didn't have time to sample it.
  4. Climb: Baker (Squak Gl.)-Schreiber meadow, Scott Paul trail Date of Climb: 6/19/2004 Trip Report: Hiked trail to 4300 ft. level, scant patches of snow on trail near top. Skinned from 4300 level to 9600 level, at saddle of Sherman crater. Skiied good snow down to 4200 ft. level through the forest, some minor thwackage by branches in the forest just above the ski to trail transition at 4200.
  5. Climb: Sibley Peak (Hidden Lake)-standard Date of Climb: 6/22/2004 Trip Report: At 10 AM left the trailhead and hiked about 3 miles till got to snow, skinned up from about 5400 level to the summit, then had a wonderful ski descent from the upper snow apron down a snow finger to the 4600 ft. level, which cut off a lot of the trail we had hiked up. Skied from 7000' down to about 4600 level continuously, but with the fast melting there will soon be a discontinuity in the lower snow finger. From there only a 45 min hike back to the car. Gear Notes: Ski crampons might be nice but not essential. Approach Notes: The hidden lake peaks trail is a good easy trail, goes fast.
