  1. Wow. Sounds just like Hiroshima. I hope their curtains are okay.

"There were ground tremors, a house shook and a curtain was blown into the house," Norway's best known astronomer Knut Jørgen Røed Ødegaard told Aftenposten.no.
  2. "Son do you know what I'm stoppin you fo?"

"Cause I'm young and I'm black and my hats pulled down low? do I look like I mindreada, sir I don't know"

"Well you where doing 55 in a 54, license and registration, step outta the car"

There's no way I would have passed the Criminal Procedure section of the bar exam without Jay-Z.

    The glove compartments locked,

So's the trunk in da back.

    If you wanna look around,

You's gonna need a warrant for dat.

  4. Sunburned the roof and back of my mouth on the n. ridge of baker a few years back. Perfect neve on the early morning ascent, but the heat turned on in the afternoon. Descending the coleman demming was like wallowing through a giant margarita, but there wasn't any tequilla.

After a long, dehydrated, and hungry slog down through the mush and to the trail head, we set off, post haste, for Bob's in Bellingham. I didn't realize that I'd burned my mouth until I took the first bite of my burger and mustard squirted out and onto the burn . . . pain!!! Onion rings were like swallowing sandpaper. I had to drink my dinner, which helped ease the pain. bigdrink.gif

    that shit hurt for days.

  5. Tim O'Brien

thumbs_up.gif The Things They Carried & Lake of the Woods are mind-bending.

Yep, mind-bending is the best way to describe the first chapter of The Things They Carried. frown.gif

  6. I'll be in SLC for a few days later in the month, and am looking for some cragging recommendations. I'd like to minimize driving and maximize climbing, and am mostly interested in moderate trad routes (<5.10), but also like to check out quality sport routes or bouldering.

If you had 2 1/2 days in the SLC area, what would be on your ticklist?

    Thanks bigdrink.gif

  7. Disco is the best. Seward Park has some decent trails. The loop around the outside of the park is ~3 miles, and there are a bunch of trails that criss-cross the middle. Good hills and some of the only old growth in the city limits. Plus, a few pairs of nesting bald eagles!

Carkeek Park has some good trails and hills as well.

  8. Ah, the bright side of being laid off due to NPS funding cutbacks: better pay in the private sector as a secret agent.

yeah, but apparently he's a Canadian secret agent. Sounds rad.

  9. That whole Royal Albert Hall show is phenomenal. A piece of rock history.

I love that version of One Too Many Mornings.

  10. Why is the Everett Group coming the same day as the SEATTLE MOUNTIES INTERMEDIATE CLIMBING CLASS FIELDTRIP??? Don't you guys check to make sure that the Mountaineers don't have two groups in one area on the same weekend?? I would guess that the Seattle Mountaineers are going to have about 50 students there this weekend.
