Gunks are great! don't forget to stop by the store Rock and snow ant New Paltz, the town next to the cliff, and get the book, it is really good book! You can be climbing 3 star climbs for the whole day. Madame G is awesome (5.6), Horseman (5.7), Beginners Delight (5.5?). Go to www.gunks.com, you will find everything there. There is a hostal in town you can crash at, in New Paltz, the owner is a very nice dude, $30 per night, includes milk, cereals, bread and eggs in the morning, it has internet and it is very close to the centre of town. I will be there in October 10th, I can't wait!!! Have fun!

Dru, the pictures Tim is showing are from end of August. Snow starts to fall in Gredos around November/December, so you can find full winter conditions there including ice in good cold years. As for the rest of Spain, in the south it is not really cold in the winter, so you can rock climb in the sun in January down in Malaga. In the north of Spain you will find ice and snow in the winter. Well, I have some single very nice girlfriends in Spain, come for a holiday to visit Tim and I and I will be happy to make the introductions! haha! and by the way, on the second day, it was Tim who slept over due to lack of siesta, not me...liar!

Does the Suunto alti HR also measures distances? Does it tell you the miles while running?

I am thinking of getting the Suunto X6-HR, any feedback on this one? Anybody has used it before?
