  1. I used to have the MK1XL but both the MK3 and MK1 have the same designs and fabric. I think Integral Designs makes nicer tents (I also have a Bibler I-tent, so I can compare them side by side). ID's tent has a thicker fabric, a tougher corner loop fabric. Setup is easier, too, just aim the pole to the corner and pop them up. As for Bibler, you gotta make sure to insert the pole tip into the metal buttons, which sometimes becomes a pain in the neck. I also don't like the screen doors on the outside. It catches a lot of snow, but you can special order it with the screen door on the inside (that's one big plus for ID, you can have your tent customade according to your liking. Bibler does not offer that). Hope it helps
  2. I do have the I-tent from Bibler, too. From my understanding, Garuda, Bibler and Integral Designs make their tents with single wall/breathable fabric. But I think Bibler tents are more breathable than Garuda. Although I like Garudas' desings better.
  3. Do you know if yours is a Seattle made? it should say Garuda Seattle Washington instead of Garuda Dana Designs.
  4. Hi all, I've got a question that I'd like to ask all the locals in Seattle area. There was a tent company called Garuda Mountaineering which made stellar mountaineering tents. Later, the company was bought by Dana Designs. Anyway, I am trying to get my hands on these tents (specifically a solo tent call the Atman), Does anyone know if any local retailer still have them by chance? or perhaps anyone who like to sell the tent? I prefer the Seattle-made version rather than the Dana version (which was made in China). Any lead is greatly appreciated. BTW, what ever happen to the original designer of Garuda Mountaineering?
