I dont ride it much anymore so i figured id sell it and buy some new climbing gear, i'm looking for $500 or best offer. i m getting into ice climbing so i may be able to work out a deal for a decent pair of ice tools. about the bike- specialized ground control, lrg frame-i'm 6'2" and the frame is a little small for me. nothing but the frame is stock, xt/lx compnents, magura quicksilver hydraulic brakes, kujo dh tires, shimano dx pedals, race face riser bar, sun front wheel, mavic rear, the fork is a manitou xvert, however the cross brace on it is cracked, and its probably a good idea to replace it before any hard core riding.(i have ridden on it, just expecting it to break eventually but so far its been fine)

    RMI, is it any good?

If you want cheap RMI wait a year and take a mountaineering class or summit climb from oregon state university, the guy who leads the weekend mountaineering trips here is an rmi guide during the climbing season and works here the rest of the year. a 2 day mountaineering class is around $150 (130 for students) and a 3 day rainier climb is around 250 (200 for students). only problem is there is only one rainier climb a year so it is easy to miss the window of good weather (however we didnt even leave corvallis this year so we got our money back) but the non summit classes are once/term (3/year) and go rain or shine.
  8. heres my pics from saturday morning: http://oregonstate.edu/~holmantr/hoodpics/hoodpics.html some good ones of the crowds that we just barely beat to the summit, we got back to the bottom of the hogsback just as the the fog rolled over the summit
  9. cant tell where the missing chunk is from that pic, thanks though
  10. boone, you got a pic of the pearly gates sans ice chunk? i was up saturday morning and would be interested to see how much fell
