  1. Traversing from Easy Pass under Mesahchie to a point below Katsuk and then ascending Katsuk is not a difficult route. Though I haven't traveled it, the south slope from Katsuk to Kimtah and Cosho is a series of ribs and gullies with some loose rock that would take time. From looking at it, it could possibly be no more difficult than scrambling, hard to say for sure. Here's a snapshot view from below Katsuk. The snowfield in the distance is Red Mtn Ridge (below Snowfield Pk).
  2. I was the 1994 ascender. The traverse from Pumpkin Mtn to Pt 6872 on the northwest end of Mt Prophet Ridge is a very fine one with exceptional views. Pt 7035 looks like a bit of an obstacle when approaching from the south but the route is easier than it first appears.
  3. From 4th of July Pass to the base of Cosho via Red Mtn Ridge is an easy traverse with fine views.
  4. I've been up and down Access Cr perhaps a dozen times in the last 15 years. It has been my experience, contrary to popular belief, that the south side of the creek is an easier and more pleasant route for the initial climb into the hanging valley. Once you become familiar with the place, it is quite an easy route. I also now only use the upper valley when it is in snow. In summer I always climb to Access Ridge and traverse the spectacular crest north to Luna. Take some time to get to know the different possible routes in this area, you won't regret it.
  5. Okay, here's the pic I tried to post originally. Thanks for your patience.
  6. Sorry to be uneducated, I still can't make it work. I Click the Image button in the reply, paste the URL in the dialog that appears, and click continue... and I get the tags in text instead of the display of the image. What am I not doing right to display the image in the message?
  7. Bummer. What'd I do wrong to display a pic?
